Leadership Coach for Women in Technology

Saira Chaudry
Leadership Coach

I coach senior women in tech who are stuck firefighting operationally instead of leading strategically, for reasons that rarely come down to capability.

I've worked in leadership development for 14 years, and have been coaching for 13 of those. Since founding Fluxability in 2020, I've worked specifically with female tech leaders, and have heard the same patterns show up, repeatedly: working in an environment that asks a great deal of you and gives back very little; the effort involved in carrying the weight of a system that wasn't designed with you in mind while remaining credible, composed and effective; being the only woman in the room more often than not; pre-editing an idea before you've even said it out loud; taking on more because you're capable, until the role barely resembles the one you wanted.

As an executive coach based in Surrey, I work online and in person with clients across the UK and globally. My approach combines challenge, support and practical perspective, creating a confidential space where you can think clearly, speak honestly and move forward with intention.

What I Believe

You're not struggling because you lack capability.

You're frequently the only woman in the room and that comes with pressure no one accounts for; constantly reading the room, managing tension other people can't or won't call out, self-monitoring and  holding the team together. It's real work that rarely gets recognised as such.

Over time, you've learnt which views are safe to raise, and which aren't worth the cost. You get better at delivering than at being seen. You hold back the instinct to speak first, disagree openly, or take up more space than feels earned - not because you lack the judgement to lead, but because the environment has taught you that holding back is safer.

You've probably been told the fix is to “be more confident”. That's incomplete and leaves out the environmental factors at play. Some of what needs to change may be within you, but some factors are external and not yours to fix. Coaching helps you tell the difference.

How Leadership Coaching with me works

The Goal Is A Leader Who Doesn't Need Me

The goal isn't checking in before you act. It's being able to read a changing situation and adapt on your own, trust your judgement under pressure and hold a boundary without needing to justify it. That's what coaching builds.

We Work With What's Actually Happening

Coaching starts with what you're facing right now: the meeting where you held back, the decision you're too worried to make, the responsibility that has crept past its edges. From there, we work out why it keeps happening and what needs to change underneath it for that to stop.

You Leave With Something That Lasts

The changes are specific and practical: a conversation you would once have avoided, now had directly; a decision made without running it past someone else first; a boundary held under pressure. What shifts is not the situations themselves, but how you respond and sustain that change, after the coaching ends.

Some people come to coaching wanting to think more strategically. Others know exactly what they want but can't see a clear route towards it. Some simply need space to trust what they already know. As a leadership coaching specialist for women in tech, I help clients to identify what they need, and to make the changes necessary for it to happen.

Working With Organisations To Develop Leadership Effectiveness

The Same Rigour, A Different Scale

Fluxability also partners with organisations, working with L&D, HR and Talent teams on leadership development, group coaching and team effectiveness. Every programme starts with a diagnostic view of the organisation: the business context, the culture, the change underway and the capability leaders need now. From there, the approach is evidence-based and systemic, drawing on tools like Hogan and a close read of how teams and structures interact, so what gets built is specific to your organisation

FAQs

Find out more about Leadership Coaching

1. What makes coaching with Fluxability different?

Saira works a level down from the problem you can already name; at the pattern underneath it, usually a rational response to your environment. The aim is agency and adaptability: judgement you trust, and the tools to manage what's next on your own

Why do you specialise in working with senior women in tech?

Because the same patterns keep showing up: an industry that still rewards women for technical delivery over strategic influence, leadership tables that are still mostly male, and an expert-to-leader transition that isn’t nearly as well supported as it should be.

What qualifications and experience do you have?

Saira holds a Professional Certificate in Professional Coaching (PCC) and a Certificate in Team Coaching Practice from the International Coaching Federation, fulfilling the highest quality standards set by the coaching profession. She has worked in Leadership Development for 14 years and has been coaching for 13.

What is your coaching approach?

Saira uses a combination of Solution Focused and Cognitive Behavioural Coaching, taking a practical approach combining challenge, support and sustainability.

What does building clarity, agency and self-trust mean in leadership development?

It means understanding what is really happening around you, separating external pressures from your own judgement, and making choices with greater confidence. In leadership development, this can help women in tech respond thoughtfully rather than react automatically to politics, pressure or expectations.

Do you act as a mentor or a coach?

Saira works primarily as a leadership coach. Rather than directing clients or providing all the answers, she helps them think clearly, explore options and trust their own judgement. Her organisational experience can bring useful perspective, but the focus remains on building the client’s independence and capability.

What types of leaders in tech do you work with?

Fluxability works mainly with senior women in technology who are navigating leadership complexity, career progression, strategic responsibility, team dynamics or organisational change. Saira also partners with HR, Talent and Learning and Development teams to deliver female leadership development, group coaching and team effectiveness programmes.
